This is the blog for VEXTEC’s Gas Turbine Testing web site. Here you’ll find a variety of items related to the gas turbine industry, including news items, photos & videos. The photo at the top is the XB-70, also know as the Valkyrie, which flew in the 1960s. Only two were ever built & one was destroyed in a crash. The other is on display in Dayton at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. The program was cancelled due to cost. One pilot said “I would do anything to keep the XB-70 flying, except pay for it myself”.
